Kilpatrick Baptist Association
The Kilpatrick Baptist Association is a family of thirty-three churches that was organized in 1914. The churches are scattered throughout the following East Central Georgia Counties: Columbia, Glascock, Jefferson, McDuffie and Warren. The general purpose of the Association is to facilitate the growth, union and cooperation of Southern Baptist churches in this area. Specifically, this body provides a medium to allow the churches to consolidate their labors in their tasks of missions, education, evangelism, benevolence and fellowship. The Association cooperates with other churches, associations, the Georgia Baptist Convention and the Southern Baptist Convention.

CHURCH SUPPORT MINISTRIES
Our areas of church support include Sunday School, Discipleship Training, Bible Drill, Music, Youth, Brotherhood, R. A.’s, Evangelism, Missions, Media Center, Vacation Bible School and Women’s Missionary Union. We also support the following ministry actions: Disaster Relief (Feeding Unit), Foster Care Entry Bag Ministry, Georgia Baptist Children’s Home and Prayer.
DISASTER RELIEF MINISTRY
The KBA has a Feeding Unit (Unit 2F) which operates in cooperation with the Disaster Relief Ministries of the Georgia Baptist Convention and the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. This unit has responded and ministered to people suffering from natural disasters such as hurricanes, tornadoes and ice storms. Annually, the volunteers prepare a meal for the students who participate in “See You At the Pole” in Thomson, Georgia. Also, they enjoy sharing with area groups and churches about their ministry.
MISSION MINISTRIES
In 2004 the Kilpatrick Baptist Association in cooperation with the Hephzibah Baptist Association sent volunteers to Southern West Virginia to conduct Mission Vacation Bible Schools, perform needed construction work on churches and homes, organize block parties to share food and the gospel and do personal witnessing. Since that time we have developed a Mission Partnership with the Mountain State Baptist Association in Princeton, West Virginia. The volunteers have grown from 33 in 2004 to 123 in 2008 allowing us to serve more churches, missions and people.
Locally, several of the youth ministers of the Association coordinate “Mission McDuffie” each June to minister to residents of Thomson who need help with simple home repairs. As the youth paint, replace roofs or do yard work, they have an opportunity to share Christ in the neighborhood. In the evening they participate in a worship experience.
